Hungary against EU – Budapest 100k march

Around 100,000 people rallied in Budapest last Saturday, organisers said, to support Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who is under fire from Brussels and opponents at home over sweeping constitutional reforms.

“We will not be a colony”

Orban travels to Brussels seeking to prevent the EU taking legal action against Hungary over laws governing its central bank, judiciary and data protection authority.

Romania set the fire of revolution

The protests begun across the Romania on Thursday 12.1. in support of a deputy health minister who resigned after criticizing the controversial draft healthcare reform bill that would have added private companies to the state health sector.

The cabinet withdrew the bill on Friday, but that did little to assuage the demonstrators, who returned to the streets to express general discontent with spending cuts and falling living standards.

The Sunday’s protests on 15.1. in Bucharest were the most violent seen since the start of the financial crisis. Although the government cut state jobs and wages and raised value added tax in 2010, Romania has largely avoided the kind of violent anti-austerity protests seen elsewhere in Europe.

Iran to return drone to Obama

a pink, four dollars toy version

An Iranian toymaker is hawking a toy replica of the American RQ-170 Sentinel drone that Iran downed last month. The drone is far less controversial than another US-inspired toy: Barbie.

“He said he wanted it back, and we will send him one”

Reza Kioumarsi, the head of cultural production at the Ayeh Art group was quoted as saying on Iranian state radio.

Toy shelves in Tehran will be making room for a new design that will make some Iranians smile and US officials grind their teeth: a scale model of the American stealth drone that Iran brought down in early December.

Slightly revolting poem

Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus by Jefferson Bethke

As he describe on his youtube Chanel, the poem wrote to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion. In the scriptures Jesus received the most opposition from the most religious people of his day. At it’s core Jesus’ gospel and the good news of the Cross is in pure opposition to self-righteousness/self-justification. Religion is man centred, Jesus is God-centred. This poem highlights my journey to discover this truth. Religion either ends in pride or despair.

“See because religion says do, Jesus says done
Religion says slave, Jesus says son
Religion puts you in bondage, while Jesus sets you free
Religion makes you blind, but Jesus makes you see”

Pride because you make a list and can do it and act better than everyone, or despair because you can’t do your own list of rules and feel “not good enough” for God. With Jesus though you have humble confident joy because He represents you, you don’t represent yourself and His sacrifice is perfect putting us in perfect standing with God!

In fact the poem begun religious war on social media networks. Since 10. 1. 2012, only one week after he published it, the poem reach almost 13 mil views on youtube! As well as on google search engine the title reach 2.300.000 records already.

Do you also hate religion or someone?

The first co-ordinated day of action this year was meant to show politicians that Occupy in intended to cause a “hot year.”

Re-Occupy Wall Street

Protesters are back in New York’s Zuccotti Park – the symbolic birthplace of the Anti-Wall street movement where it all started almost four months ago. Barricades have been in place since mid-November when the occupiers were evicted in a night raid by police. But now that the barriers are gone the protesters are determined to stay.
