Who was behind Ukraine bomb attacks in Dnipropetrovsk

A series of blasts rocked an eastern Ukrainian city today, injuring 27 people, including 9 teenagers, in what authorities believed was a terrorist attack.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. But opposition party led by jailed former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko suggested that President Viktor Yanukovych’s government may have organized the blasts in order to deflect the world’s attention from Tymoshenko’s imprisonment and reported abuse in prison.

A court is to rule on whether former prime minister Geir Haarde was grossly negligent or not. The court will decide whether he was personally responsible for failing to rein in the country’s banking sector before it imploded.

New wave of protests in Czech Republic

The video was editing from collected or produced videos by Czech & Slovak youtubers during the protests in cities and towns across Czech Republic in 15. 3. 2012. Another mass protests been arranged on this Sunday 15.4. ten times more towns then last month.

Spanish youth follow the Greek example

Riot police took to the streets of Spain as protesters burned bins, vandalized shops and attacked officers during a one day nationwide general strike. Spaniards angry with having the eurozone’s highest unemployment rate refused to go to work in protest at further crushing austerity measures being brought in by the new center-right Popular Party government.

March 31 – Frankfurt protests

Saturday’s clashes mark one of the first significant outbreaks of violence in Germany connected to recent anti-capitalist demonstrations inspired by the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement. Police said they arrested 465 people during the “anti-capitalist day” march. A spokesman for the organisers, anti-capitalist alliance M31, said a group of around 200 protesters broke off the 6,000 strong demonstration and headed to the city centre.
