We Feed the World

Every day in Vienna the amount of unsold bread sent back to be disposed of is enough to supply Austria’s second-largest city, Graz. Around 350,000 hectares of agricultural land, above all in Latin America, are dedicated to the cultivation of soybeans to feed Austria’s livestock while one quarter of the local population starves. Every European eats ten kilograms a year of artificially irrigated greenhouse vegetables from southern Spain, with water shortages the result.

WE FEED THE WORLD is a film about food and globalisation, fishermen and farmers, long-distance lorry drivers and high-powered corporate executives, the flow of goods and cash flow–a film about scarcity amid plenty. With its unforgettable images, the film provides insight into the production of our food and answers the question what world hunger has to do with us .

Interviewed are not only fishermen, farmers, agronomists, biologists and the UN’s Jean Ziegler, but also the director of production at Pioneer, the world’s largest seed company, as well as Peter Brabeck, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé International, the largest food company in the world.

Nestlé CEO Peter Brabeck speaking about the company, genetically modified food and the politically “extreme” idea of free drinking water. Again reality unfortunately triumphs over fiction. From the documentary “We feed the world” by Erwin Wagenhofer.

Bulgaria economy at point of no return

Published on Feb 19, 2013
An analyst says the unfortunate situation in Bulgaria is due to decades of massive state spending which has defied good economics and devastated the country’s financial system past the point of no return. The comment comes as several thousand people took to the streets across Bulgaria on Tuesday to protest against the right-wing government of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. Earlier on Monday, Bulgaria’s unpopular finance minister, Simeon Djankov, was removed from office after protests over high electricity bills snowballed into anti-government demonstrations.

“We’ve lived through communism and remember the personality cult towards (the dictator) Todor Zhivkov. But what we have now surpasses it — it’s Boyko for breakfast, Boyko for lunch, Boyko for dinner, while people don’t have anything to eat. We’re fed up,” a protester was quoted as saying. Press TV has conducted an interview with economic expert Rollin Amore to further discuss the issue.

Icelandic Lawmaker Birgitta Jonsdottir support Bradley Manning

Published on Apr 8, 2013
Icelandic Parliamentarian Birgitta Jonsdottir played a critical role in Wikileaks’ release of the “Collateral Murder” video, which showed a U.S. military helicopter in July 2007 as it killed 12 people and wounded two children in Iraq. Jonsdottir joins us on her first trip to the United States since a secret grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia, began its investigation of WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. She also discusses her role at the center of another closely watched legal case — challenging of the government’s effort to obtain her Twitter records without a warrant, and why she has come to the United States to champion the cases of military whistleblower Bradley Manning and the accused hacker Jeremy Hammond.

How to face of global media propaganda

This demonstration took place today (April 21, 2013) in Paris, France, next to Radio France in support of Syria in the face of global media propaganda about the reality of the conflict.

Syrians are facing attacks in their own homeland from international and domestic terrorists, but the global media has been portraying the crisis as a purely popular uprising met with governmental crackdown. Despite the economic sanctions and false propaganda, Syrians persist in resisting, and the Syrian community in France did its share to tell the world that it does not accept the lies and terror waged against Syria. Dialogue among Syrians is the only way forward.

Clashes erupt in Paris after gay marriage legalised

Published on Apr 24, 2013
France legalized gay marriage on Tuesday after a wrenching national debate that exposed deep conservatism in the nation’s heartland and triggered huge demonstrations that tapped into intense discontent with the Socialist government. Within hours, fiery clashes broke out between protesters and riot police.

Legions of officers stayed late into the night, and a protest against the measure turned violent near the Invalides complex of museums and monuments. Protesters threw glass bottles, cans and metal bars at police, who responded with tear gas.

It was an issue that galvanized the country’s faltering right, which had been decimated by infighting and their election loss to President Francois Hollande. France is the 14th country to legalize gay marriage nationwide – and the most populous.

The measure passed easily in the Socialist-majority Assembly, 331-225, just after the president of the legislative body expelled a disruptive protester in pink, the color adopted by French opponents of gay marriage.

How the FBI Fosters, Funds and Equips American Terrorists

The Boston Marathon bombing has provoked shock, grief and outrage from around the world. After decades of conditioning, the public automatically equates such terrorism with Muslim radicals. But the evidence shows that every major terror plot on American soil in the past 10 years has been fostered, funded and equipped by one organization: the FBI.

People around the world watched in horror this week as explosions rocked the finish line of the Boston Marathon, turning a day of sportsmanship and celebration into one of shock, grief and outrage. As with all such events, the desire to discover who was behind this cowardly act has driven many into a speculative frenzy. And, in a sad reminder of the indoctrination that the Western world has been under for over a decade now in the mythical “war of terror,” it did not take long at all before the collective finger of the mob was pointed squarely in the direction of Muslim terrorists.

Within hours of the blast, fear spread throughout the international Muslim community that the bombing would be connected to an Islamist extremist. A Libyan Twitter user touched a nerve—and received thousands of retweets and worldwide media coverage—by tweeting “Please don’t be a ‘Muslim.’” The backlash began shortly thereafter, with the New York Post falsely implying that a Saudi national was being questioned for his possible role in the attack. The next day, a plane departing Boston Logan Airport returned to the gate and two passengers were forcibly removed because they had been overheard speaking Arabic before takeoff.

The Earth has been visited by advanced Inter-Stellar Civilizations that can travel through other dimensions faster than the speed of light. What we have learned from them about energy propulsion can bring us to a new era, but those in power have suppressed this information in order to keep us at their mercy. It is time for you to know…and this documentary will let you in.

WHAT WILL YOU SEE?
Dr. Steven Greer, founder of the worldwide Disclosure Movement and the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence is working with Emmy award winning filmmaker Amardeep Kaleka and his team at Neverending Light Productions to produce one of the most significant films of our time.

This film exposes the greatest story never told: The Earth has been visited by people from other worlds who are not malicious, but in fact concerned for the future of humanity. A cabal of military, industrial and financial interests have kept this contact and what we have learned from it secret for over 60 years. Their secrecy is meant to suppress the knowledge that can liberate the world from the yoke of oil, gas, coal and nuclear power and replace the current world order with one of New Energy and true Freedom.
