Very short-term memory Mr. Brown

Gordon Brown gives a press conference where he tells the world that all of a sudden after public outcry, he’s all in favour of IRA victims to getting compensation from Libya, and he all of a sudden did not do a dirty deal to get his hands on cheap Libyan oil. Except what he says in this clip is the giveaway.

He tells everyone that the government will not be negotiating a deal for the victims, the victims should meet up with the Libyan government and sort out compensation by themselves. Unlike how the American government got compensation from Libya, the US government sorted out on behalf of their citizens.
